Hypnosis is a state of mind in which you are relaxed and focused, and your concentration is much higher than if you were awake. In hypnosis, we bypass the conscious mind (the critical thinking part). The suggestions that are made during hypnosis go directly to the subconscious mind, where thoughts and behaviors can be changed because of this very heightened awareness. When you are given a new suggestion that is within your belief system and that is what you want to change, your subconscious mind accepts the new behavior as reality. When you are hypnotized, you feel very relaxed, and if you are like most people, you should remember everything that happened during the session.
Can you make me do things I do not want to do?
Contrary to what many people believe, you are always in control during hypnosis. No one can make you do anything that is against your moral or ethical values. You have to want to make the suggested change in your behavior.
THERE IS NO HYPNOSIS UNLESS YOU HYPNOTIZE YOURSELF.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Yes, in fact we are hypnotized every day without knowing it. Have you ever driven in your car and realized that you got to your destination without knowing it? You did so because you were in a trance or a state of self-hypnosis. Hypnosis works by identifying the negative behavior you want to change and then replacing it with positive behaviors that can help you achieve your goals. The hypnotist is the facilitator that allows you to relax and gives your subconscious mind the ability to make the desired changes.
Is hypnosis dangerous?
No, the induction of hypnosis is not dangerous. Hypnosis involves just listening to the hypnotist's words and music so that you can become very relaxed. It is a great tool to change your way of thinking and to make positive changes that you want to make but do not know how to make. The hypnotist knows how to gently release your mental blocks and fears and how to help you create a new inner belief that will set the wheels in motion for changes in the way you think, feel and behave.

Are the results permanent?
With some individuals, the suggestions work forever; with others, additional sessions will be needed to reinforce the new positive behaviors. The results of hypnosis are cumulative. You will be given a personalized CD after your session. The more you practice and listen to the CD, the greater effect it will have on changing your old behavior and replacing it with the desired behavior. Your mind is like a sponge, so every time you listen or practice hypnosis, the new positive behaviors get more deeply and deeply entrenched in your brain, allowing the positive changes to happen so you can achieve your goals.
What will I be asked during the initial interview?
What goals do you want to achieve? What will eliminating these behaviors do for you? How will you know when you have achieved these goals? How will this impact your life? What resources are necessary to achieve this? What steps are necessary? What new behaviors would you like to see yourself doing to help achieve your goals?
What your mind can conceive, it can receive!
Using imagery or visualization, hypnosis can generate the power to change, the power to create and the power to progress toward self-realization. Most people will acknowledge that the mind is the most powerful tool we have. Hypnosis provides the means to use this power to your own personal advantage. Hypnosis can help bring about major changes in important areas of life: stress relief, habit control, emotional stability, motivation, health, pain management and others.
Don’t allow your own self-imposed restrictions to hold you back. Change those unwanted behaviors. Stop making excuses like: “I can’t do it", "I’m not educated enough", "I have no luck", "I never get any breaks", "I don’t know how", "I’ll never amount to anything", "No one could love a person like me”. These are restrictions, limits, ropes and chains that keep you from making changes that you want to make in your life.
